I know that it's been a while but I have been a little busy. I have been working on a couple projects. I have done more births but due to religious or personal reasons I am not at liberty to share. This has caused a little problem of not having birth sessions to show boohoo, Seriously !! I am still doing birth photography, so if you know anyone that is interested...wink wink lol.
What I am going to do in the meantime is add some photo sessions (creative and my style)and some other things that interest me, just so I can get the hang of this "Blogging thing" and hopefully I won't make myself look like too much of a fool. I can't say I will be blogging everyday (god no) but I will try my best to do it enough. After all I would rather be at a waterfall or in a field sitting and photographing horses ( my first and biggest passion). Ok ok back on track.
What I have been working on:
Well lets see. I have learned how to sew and and well I think I am becoming quite good at it , of course I see all the hanging strings and holes and missed pieces lol. I have been creating these dresses for specific reasons. I do not want to be the photographer that does the same old picture that everyone else does. for instance when I see a long tule skirt I picture a waterfall, a horse, a little lake somewhere.
I have even stepped outside my comfort zone and photographed a small wedding, mind you I only said yes because the bride came in on a horse named Chase lol. I found that I love the wedding portraits but not doing the whole wedding. I even got to photograph 18 horses in one day (that my friend's was a lot of hot, sweaty and dirty work that I would do over and over again with a smile.
I have been asked by some of you about purchasing prints of scenes, flowers, horses ever photos of clients as art : This one is one of my biggest sellers in the modern metal : And so I am working on a gallery within my website that you can purchase prints, canvas wraps, modern metals (the colors on these are amazing) standouts and framed prints. prints on wood, I might even throw in a calendar. This will be coming in the near future so please check back in.
I am growing as a photographer, something I have been told by many people that is not possible at my age (Yep that's me, old at 46) To those naysayer's all I have to say is, worry about you and I will worry about me. I am loving this journey as a photographer and nothing is going to get in my way, not even age!!
So I hope you all will continue to join me on my journey, I look forward to all your thoughts and positive feedback (yes please keep it positive).
That's it for now K
